Looking for DIRECTION? Red Door Salon Early Registration ends TODAY!

May 1st, 2013 by Elizabeth Joy Mueller | Comments Off

Last call! Early registration ends at midnight! Sign up TODAY for the Red Door Salon and receive a thirty-minute one-to-one session with me.

The concept of the Red Door salon sprouted from my sofa. Yup, listening deeply to what I’d like to create, I heard SALON.

Turns out in 17th Century France, ladies were not allowed to gather in public places.  That didn’t stop our ladies from gathering though; they just did in private places, in the Salon room of their homes, to be exact.  It was in the Salon they discussed spiritual topics such as Enlightenment and ways in which to improve upon one’s own life.  This elegant and enlightening historic gathering will inform and influence the making of the modern day, Red Door Salon, I am creating in my living room in Boulder, Colorado.

As a 21st Century woman, what could you expect from participating in a Salon gathering?
·      Bring your questions, your doubts, your desires and your deepest dreams (even the buried ones).
·      Lean in with other like-minded, spiritual savvy women.
·      Receive support, insight, and modern, spiritual tools to navigate the world while staying true to yourself
·      Discuss what’s next in your life and how to begin creating it or evolving it – relationships, health, career, and community – it’s all welcome!

In the fall, a Red Door Salon participant brought her desire to change careers.  She was asking:  What should she do?  What’s her life’s purpose?  Does she need to change careers or just find a new job?  Through discussion, deep listening, and candid advice, we sent her out to explore, research and see about finding a new position, possibly in a new setting, that might be more fulfilling.  She did just that and last month started a new job with a better commute in a town that suits her and her interests more closely.

Do you need a little push to get rolling in a new direction?  Not even sure what that direction may be?

Join us for the Red Door Salon and bring your questions, your uncertainties, and your maybe’s and let’s uncover the next steps for you.  I have personally participated in a small group of women supporting one another, just like the Salon, and look back on that time period as one of the most fulfilling and productive times of my life!

Why?  I had support.  I had accountability.  I had a cheer squad reminding me of all the progress I was making when I doubted myself.  I was inspired to follow-thru. I was willing to take new risks in my life. I had courage to take a leap of faith again and again.

The same holds true for you.  Each week, we will explore new tools and processes that are designed to extract your deepest desires and dreams and get you moving towards just that.  No more excuses. No more fears keeping you paralyzed.  No more holding off on what you truly want from your life.  Start now.  Call me and let’s get you signed up at 917.309.7612.

The Red Door Salon will meet for six sessions on Wednesdays starting May 8th  – June 19th (skipping May 29th) from 7-9pm.  Cost is $295 with the extra goodness of a half hour private session with me if you confirm by midnight tonight, May 1st.

Together, let’s spring new life into your life.

Happy May Day, beautiful!

P.s. Do you know a woman who would be just right for the Salon?  Please let her know about this special invitation.  I am relying on my personal network and recommendations from people like you to spread the word.  Thank you kindly!

Are YOU Connected?

July 31st, 2012 by Elizabeth Joy Mueller | No Comments

How do you feel connected . . . in your life, your body, your passions, your work?

Where is connection missing and where do you crave more of it?

This year align where you are and how you are feeling, your natural rhythms, with the actions you are taking.  To do so, it is insightful to learn about your personal year using the ancient science of Numerology.

A few weeks ago I posted on how to use your birthdate to calculate your personal year number.  Knowing your personal year number can help you steer yourself and your life in alignment with where you are and what you want to feel and create in your life.

  • Do you want to feel plugged into the world at large on a grand mission?
  • Do you want to feel harmony within your close circles?
  • Do you want to feel of service?
  • Do you want to feel in flow of your activities and hobbies?
  • Do you want to start a new job, move, reinvent your relationships?

I’ve touched on calculating your personal year using your birth month plus your birth date plus the number 5 which represent the addition of 2+0+1+2, the current year.  (see more from a previous blog at:

Your personal year number gives you an indication of how to align your energy, activities, time and focus for feeling the most in-sync with your life and the most connected to who you are and what you are right now.

If your personal year adds up to a  . . .
1. It’s a year of new beginnings, reinventing you, starting over, moving, new relationships and jobs and creating new life chapters.

2. It’s a year for cooperating with others to develop the vision you begin in Year 1 – you don’ t have to do it alone any longer.

3. It’s a social playful year of cultivating new interests, expressing yourself and entertaining.

4. It’s time to get to work in this serious and responsible year, and to put systems in place, and create the foundations for your bigger dreams.

5. Get ready for life expansion, adventure, and the unexpected year with lots of changes and working within the chaos of the change rather than against it.

6. In this more responsible year of cultivating harmony you’ll take care of the important people in your life and career.

7. Go inward and enjoy this sabbatical from the physical aspects of life and focus your attention on the study of abstract ideas, science, mysticism, spirituality and artistic endeavors.

8. Jump headfirst into the world of career, power, and money – this is the year to launch your book, your business, your blog – put it out there and go for it!

9.  This is the year of endings and completing the previous 9-year cycle so allow what’s ready to come to completion and not force what is next – that will reveal itself as you move into your next 1 personal year.

If your numbers added up to an 11 or a 22, you won’t reduce them to a single digit because these are Master years.

11. A year of personal illumination, this is an important year to open to your intuition and inspiration, turning inward to focus spiritually and artistically.

22.  It’s time to bring together your greatest vision into practical reality, creating change or inspired ideas to impact the world-at-large using your unique gifts and talents – don’t hold back – this is the year your grand vision unfolds at last.

That’s just a little nibble of understanding how to leverage the energy and support of the Universe to feel connected to your life, your activities and your focus for right now.

If you’d like to learn more and dive deeper into how to leverage the personal year combined with your Life Path number then let’s do a reading!

I am now offering the opportunity to do a one-time reading with me. This is a new offering and a chance to reinvigorate where you are in your life with clarity and focus!!

Having Elizabeth do numerology for me gave me such a sense of peace.

Where I was questioning myself before our conversation, I felt like I was making the correct decisions. Affirming that I am indeed doing my life’s work, gave me a sense of security and a renewed sense of fulfillment about my career path.  She said I was one of the few that was on my most fulfilling career path. This confirmation left me with a feeling of security that is allowing me to forge ahead with new projects, especially with her precise step-by-step plan.

She nailed what had happened for me during the previous years, so I knew to listen closely to what is coming. Elizabeth’s numerology and intuitive guidance provided “a knowing” and a new excitement concerning my work.

We also spent time looking at my son’s numerology. This let me know what he has been dealing with this past year and what to expect next year. I now know how to best support him as he goes through sudden jolts and endings…and I know what to expect in the coming months.

I am so grateful for Elizabeth’s direction and insights.  I had not known what to expect from Numerology but now realize how helpful it can be!

What is behind the number 9?

June 28th, 2012 by Elizabeth Joy Mueller | 1 Comment

Since the spring I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with numbers.  Now this is not normal for me at all!  I prefer to avoid the numbers as much as possible.  But this spring I discovered the ancient art of Numerology and I’ve been having fun uncovering the meaning of the numbers with friends, family and clients.

  • Ever had one of those years when nothing is working out no matter how much you try?
  • Ever feel like everything you do turns to ash?
  • Ever feel disconnected to everyone around you?
  • Ever feel like nothing seems to be sticking or making sense?
  • Are you getting nudges to do crazy things like move to a new state, start a completely unrelated job, stop seeing certain friends or breakup with your loyal partner?

All of these things begin surfacing in a big way when you enter a personal year of 9!

Why?  Nine is the personal year of completions!

I uncovered that 2011 was a 9 personal year for me and it explained what had been taking place in my life:  letting go of everything!

In the midst of 2011, I felt completely crazy.  I kept getting lead to leave behind everything in my life and start fresh in a new state.  What was different about this year though was that I kept following those little nudges.  Most of the time, I had no idea where they were leading me but I just kept putting one baby-step in front of another.

It was also terribly apparent was that nothing really seemed to be working, at least not how it had in the past, so I was forced to forge new ways of letting go and tuning in.

This is far easier said than done, especially when you are right in the middle of the chaos.  It can be downright painful and feel like one failure after another. Ouch!

Ready to learn more about your personal year in your current nine-year cycle? I’m offering personalized Life Path readings until June 30th for only $125.00!  I have three spots lefts so let’s get you scheduled now!

Numerology moves through nine-year cycles 1-9 and each year you are under the vibrational influence of that number.  What that means is that you are working under the influence of a different type of energy each year. Knowing what energy you are working within the current year can be wonderfully helpful because you can focus your time, energy and activities to align with the natural support the Universe is offering you.

Likewise, you can let go of pushing against what isn’t working and trust your timing.  Rushing whatever it is you are deeply yearning for may not be the answer.  It may instead be the perfect timing to focus yourself elsewhere until the energy shifts into the next year or even two years from now.

Ahhhhhhhhh.  This can be a BIG sigh of relief!  You mean I don’t have to do everything RIGHT NOW???  Phew!

Yes, there is a natural timing to everything and you can trust it.

Here’s how to calculate your Personal Year

Add your numbers:

Birth month + Birth date + The Year (so 2012 = 5 because 2 + 0 + 1 + 2 = 5)

Example 1:

Birthdate:  June 26th

6 + 2 + 6 + 5 (2012 totals to a 5) = 19, then add double digits together to create one single digit

1 + 9 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1

Therefore, in 2012, I am in a personal year of 1:  New Beginnings!

Example 2:

Birthdate:  November 13th

1 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 5 (2012 totals to a 5) = 11*

Therefore, this year is a personal & Master year of 11:  Personal Illumination!

*If the numbers add up to an 11 or a 22, then you do not add the two digits together as the years of 11 and 22 are Master years imbedded in the nine-year cycles.

Life Path Readings. last call!

Up until the end of June, I am offering Life Path readings to dive deeper into:

  • clearing out the old and making way for the now
  • seeding your great work and the deeper vision of what you came for in this lifetime
  • outlining the baby steps to get you moving in these new directions, in joy!

I only have a 3 spots left this week so it’s time to jump in and grab yours before this special goes away.  The sixty-minute phone session is only $125 until June 30th.

In fun and exploration,

P.S. Forward this to someone who you know is needing direction right now!

P.S.S. Read what others had to say . . .

My numerology session with Elizabeth was an amazing gift and couldn’t have come at a better time. In the midst of a period of major change and transition, I needed some sense of clarity and direction. That’s exactly what I got from this reading.

The numbers for my “life path” as well as the number for the year’s “theme” gave me information that confirms much of what I have been feeling intuitively, but also helped me to see the bigger picture much more clearly.

In areas where I’ve been struggling to make a decision, or hoping for a situation to resolve, I got a sense of peace and of what is right for me. I feel much more grounded in terms of what I want to focus on and what’s possible.

I am connecting to a vision and a purpose that I can breathe life into right now.

Elizabeth also delivered very practical, concrete “baby steps” and practices which I am now using in my daily life.

How the numbers work remains a mystery to me, but the rightness of what came through in this session left me feeling joyful, inspired, and eager to embrace my path.

Much gratitude and love to Elizabeth and the gifts she brings!

Just for the FUN of it!

June 13th, 2012 by Elizabeth Joy Mueller | No Comments

When was the last time you followed your hunch to do something, ‘just for the fun of it’? I must admit that this last year I’ve been taking all my life changes rather seriously and so doing something ‘just for the fun of it’ had fallen to the wayside.

So when I had the opportunity to sign up for an Intuitive Career training to learn how to use Numerology to as a means to unlock my client’s chosen birth path, I was all over the place.  On one hand, I wanted to do it because, frankly, I was having fun with Numerology!  I was giving spontaneous readings to anyone who would share their birthdate and people were having fun with me . . .and it was insightful! But was that enough of reason to go for it?

As with any big leap, all the doubts came crashing in, too. . . who will take you seriously using Numerology?

Will you really use it or will it just become another tool that sits on your shelf?  (I confess to being a bit a seeker so that means I’m willing to take a lot of workshops, trainings and seminars but sometimes maybe too many. . .but that’s another story for another time.)

So there I was the day before trying to determine the real reason I wanted to do it and then I got really clear – BECAUSE IT WAS FUN!

Unlocking my own birth path numbers helped me tremendously in understanding why I needed to change my whole life at this time and how everything aligned so beautifully in supporting those changes.

So in April, I did it!

Just for the fun of it, I started using Numerology to assist my clients, friends, colleagues, anyone who was curious, to open up more to who they are and why they are here and the treasure chest of talents and gifts they came into this world to use and explore.

  • Are you at a milestone and need some insight to help navigate the changes tapping on your shoulder?
  • Are you doing work you are passionate about but still feel you could go deeper and feel even more engaged?
  • Are you confused about how to focus yourself and your activities for this year?
  • Do you sense you have a much greater purpose than the one you are currently settling for?
  • Are you ready to step into and own who you are and what you are here for on another level?

Let’s do it!  Let’s schedule your Life Path Reading!

For the month of June I’m offering an introductory rate of $125.00.  My rates haven’t been this low in four years so this is a rare opportunity to get on my calendar for a fabulous price*.

The reading that I received far exceeded my expectations. Elizabeth was able to convey the information in such a way that made a lot of sense.

It was compassionate and empowering, and left me feeling refreshed and newly inspired.

Elizabeth was able to cover so much information that I didn’t feel that things were left hanging when it came to an end. I felt that you really heard what I was saying. You hit on many points that were inspiring, but much of it was really confirmation for where I am on my path.

I know I’m on track with my plans for the next while, and it’s all falling into place and I just need to trust in the process but also be more conscious and aware.

You gave me many nuggets, tools, along with concrete and manageable tasks that I can help me in moving closer to my purpose, and for that, I am extremely grateful.

Even if you know you are right smack in the middle of your life’s greatest work a Life Path reading can provide confirmation to boost your confidence and to go for it, trusting your instincts to move forward even further than you ever imagined!

“I want to let you know that the Life Path reading helped me bring a whole new dimension to my work.

I’m now calling my business “Creatively Healthy” and I’ve put together a new program working on Health and Creativity as mutually supportive. I’m also planning a writing workshop, which I’m so excited to do.

Thanks for helping to bring this up and out.”  -P.B.

The Life Path Reading will help you answer some basic questions on how to focus your time and energy this year. . .

  • Is this the year to clear out your closets?
  • To write your book?
  • To launch new programs?
  • Is it time to move?

Learning more about your personal year gives you the insight to focus your time, energy, and activites to align with the natural cycles of your life.

I just finished my first numerology reading with Elizabeth and I feel a sense of peace, knowing from the reading that I am on the right track.

Everything she shared with me in her kind, gentle way resonated very well with me. I felt as though the Universe sent her to me to clarify some of the feelings I have already noticed coming up for me.

She told me that my life path number clarifies that my soul purpose is to serve humanity on a global scale. I don’t know what that will look like exactly, but I am open to serve in anyway God has called me.

My challenge is to let go and allow things to fall away, so that the good things that are waiting for me are able to come into my life. I am eager to put into practice the lessons that Elizabeth shared with me. She encouraged me to use my inner guidance and my love of music to enhance my meditation practice.

Elizabeth guided me through a spiritual meditation that left me feeling such inner peace and awareness of my connection to Source Energy and my inner being.

I feel very excited to know that my soul has a very big purpose in this world, but I feel relaxed in the knowing that I don’t have to be in a hurry to make it happen.

I feel confident in following Elizabeth’s advice of laying back and just allowing the Universe to put the pieces in line for me.

I no longer feel the need to have all the answers, I just have to allow.

Thank you, Elizabeth! I am grateful for the time we spent together. Thank you for sharing your gifts with me and for leading me on my souls Journey.

Ready to breakthrough your fears?

March 19th, 2011 by Elizabeth Joy Mueller | No Comments

Twyla Tharp's The Creative HabitI was recently browsing through one of my favorite bookstores, Rizzoli, when I came across Twyla Tharp’s book, The Creative Habit.  It’s a practical guide to cultivating your creativity.  Not far into the book, I came across her list of fears that strike to keep her from fulfilling on her creative impulse.  It seems a bit hard to believe she might have these fears, really, as she has had a powerful impact as one of America’s greatest choreographers with a long list of achievements on the stage, in theater, and, in movies.

So I was curious, what are the five fears of a well-accomplished creative?

When I read them over, I found them so perfectly articulated that I actually got out my notebook and wrote them down.  Here’s what keeps Twyla Tharp awake at night as she embarks on a creative project.

1. People will laugh at me.

2. Someone has done it before.

3. I have nothing to say.

4. I will upset someone I love.

5. Once executed, the idea will never be as good as it is in my mind.

Brilliant!  The last one struck me the hardest – she had articulated in words that often buried fear I have when I embark on a new creative endeavor.

My storyline constantly reminds me that while my initial idea may seem brilliant, I will never be able to execute it quite like I imagine it, and I will look like a fool, resulting in being laughed at.  (ick, who wants to look like a fool and be laughed at?)

Phew!  I took an important step, I shared it out loud and in writing.  This is the beginning of speaking, articulating and acknowledging the fears that lurk around stopping me from even starting.  I’m now considering starting a fool’s club so I can get really comfortable feeling foolish and creating in spite of my fears!

What are the fears that stop you?

Recently, I was asked how to address what stops us and how do we deal with it.

Here’s the first place to start.  Articulate the fear.

What is the fear telling youWhat is it saying about youHow is it trying to get your attention?

Name it.  Put your words on it.  Be curious about the storyline.

This seems easier than it actually is and may require you to go through a few layers of writing, singing it, or acting it out to get right into the essence of it.

Once you unveil the truth of the fear – it will literally begin to open up and give you more space.  It will no longer have that binding grip on you.

So try it.  Try it right now.  Write down your top five fears.

Here are my latest five, if you need further inspiration:

1.  No one understands me.

2.  I don’t know what to do.

3.  I’ll have to do everything myself.

4.  I won’t make the right decisions.

5.  It won’t fly.

After articulating your fears, what is the next step in addressing them?

Share them.

Tell them to someone who can listen, not judge. Not comment, not even try to talk you out of your fear.

Just witness you, witness the fear that’s arising, witness the alchemy of what happens when you speak it out loud and share it with another.

The second step of sharing is incredibly powerful.  There is truly profound alchemy in it.

To help facilitate deep openings, expansions, breakthroughs, and magical transformations, I created a coaching program to call together a group of women to stand for, witness, and grow as unique individuals in pursuit of a creative endeavor, day-to-day expansion, and reinvention of any desired sort – bring it all!

Join me and eight others for exploring the fears, the blocks, the stuff holding you back (but not for long because there will be breakthroughs!) in:

Sacred in the City circle starting on Thursdays, March 24th at 7pm in Manhattan.

See more details here:

Have a fearless week-end!

If you are feeling really fearless, please post your 5 fears here as a comment (on the top of the page click the comment button) and you can use a different name if that feels more comfortable for you.

You possess 1,000 years of experiences

March 10th, 2011 by Elizabeth Joy Mueller | No Comments

How much time and energy do you commit to knowing and following your higher purpose? What could happen if you took some time to inquire, explore and be curious about this for you?

You see, no one, anywhere is exactly like you.  No one has ever been quite like you before now or in the future.  You are completely unique.  You are a completely unique divine spark of life force unlike anything previously existed in time and space. If that’s the truth, how do you want to spend your time, energy, gifts and talents?  What is your purpose and how can you awaken and open to this now?

I’m so excited to announce that I have created a new program to explore our very own uniqueness and our very own unique connection to the sacred specifically for the NYC woman.  Scroll down for more details to see if this program is right for you or someone you know.

Let’s play a game.

Just take five minutes with me right now. (C’mon just five minutes!) Set a timer, your phone clock, or your watch.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath, or two, or three.

Allow your whole body to relax right where you are.

Feel all the way down into your feet and then drop your awareness down into the earth below your feet.

Feel deeply connected into the earth like a rooted Elm.*

Now imagine you are sitting next to your oldest truest most magnificent self.  She (or he) is at least 1,000 years old and so gentle and thoughtful, having had every possible experience again and again.  She is radiant, full of light and love, compassion and glory.  She imbues this deeply loving wisdom and understanding of any situation, challenge or frustration you may have.  She uplifts you and holds you.  She reassures you like no one ever has and you resonate with this assurance that indeed, everything is in perfect timing.

As you tune in here, notice what other qualities your truest self possesses.  Is she commanding? Witty?  Does she heal and transform?  Does she teach and guide?  Does she provide confidence and courage?  Is she strong, healthy, and vital?  What is her vision of you, your body, the world, the deepest wishes you hold close to your heart?

Take a few moments to imagine all the qualities of your truest, highest, most magnificent self and feel all of it throughout your entire body using your senses.  Have fun, go deep, experience the great expansion of 1,000 years of experiences being you.

What does she tell you?  What does she want you to know?  What does she remind you of?

Now let all the wisdom, divine love, light, radiance, all those unique qualities she possesses to come into you.  Allow her to merge with you and you to know yourself as your wisest, most radiant self, with 1,000 years of experiences to draw upon.

When the timer goes off or you finish, open your eyes.  Enjoy moving through your day with your best friend at your side or nearby and call upon her whenever you need for any reason whatsoever.

I am so excited to announce a new program I have developed for an intimate circle of women to explore your own unique purpose and cultivating this closely with your highest truest self.

Drum roll please as I announce. . . .

I’d guess they are part of a royal lineage they are so regal.  The first time I saw one I had arrived to visit the Northeast to see friends.  I saw this grand old Elm across the street and I completely freaked out.  It was like I was witnessing a Grand King vibrating majesty, commanding my attention and my awe.  I felt a need to bow to such a grand royal living beings.

21 Acts of LOVE

21 Acts of LOVE

This list has been put together to remind us of the many opportunities in life that help to open the heart. Please find one or two that resonate with you and try them out.

Or better, find one that makes you uncomfortable and try it.  Get out of your comfort zone and discover where it takes you. It might just open your heart!

1.    Do something for someone else!  Magically this can take us out of our heads and our own misery and inspire us to feel positive again.  Create some magic for someone else.

2.    Anonymous acts of good.  These are surprisingly powerful to do and instantly create magic for you and the receiver.  Here are some ideas to get started.  Add your personal spin into each one or create your own:  Pay it forward for coffee or cupcakes for those in line behind you, leave behind a beautiful bouquet of flowers, leave a $20 bill where someone can find it, send someone tickets to an event, write an anonymous note to someone who has negatively impacted you and tell them how wonderful they are and how much they have touched your life.  Doing any anonymous acts of good can work wonders for you and open up magic in your life and the lives of others.

3.    Donate to a charity or a cause you feel strongly about.  Where do you want to help?  Here are some of my favorite:,,,, or,  Research the amazing and inspiring work people are already creating out there and decide to be part of it.

4.    Laugh.  Laugh more and make others laugh more also.  It’s so important to laugh!  Remember not to take yourself so seriously. Go rent a funny movie. Go to a Yoga Laugh class – these exist and here’s the website to find a class near you  It’s for real!

5.    Go on a negativity diet. . . catch yourself making negative comments or gossiping and stop!  Try this for three days at least.  If you slip up just redirect the conversation towards the positive or end it altogether.  Notice who you easily slip into a critical mode with and ask them to help you stop doing this.  Yes, they will call you Pollyanna and so what!  You will feel so much better.  If you see the glass half full, then it is.  If you see the glass half empty, then it is.  So make a conscious choice about what view You want to take.  Thoughts become reality so think the uplifting ones!!!

6.    Make a date with someone you’ve been neglecting and go somewhere really beautiful.  It doesn’t have to be expensive, but step out of the usual routine and try something new.  Have tea, get dessert, share an appetizer. Catch up and tell them how much you appreciate them.

7.    Make memories.  This one can be a bit challenging for me as I am not too sentimental and tend to forget about photos and other memorabilia.  Yet, creating special mementos reminds us of good times.  These can become treasured moments.  Who could you send a photo or photo album to of a shared memory?

8.    Write an ‘old fashioned’ thank you note (one that gets sent in the mail, not via e-mail) for no real reason except to tell the recipient how much they mean to you and thank them for being in your life!

9.    Send Valentine cards – my personal favorite – reminding those that you do love how much they touch your life!  Have fun, be creative . .  remember the second grade when everyone took home a whole box of cards with silly slogans and poetic verses. . . .it felt good!

10. Go to a new venue.  Have you always wanted to go to the Opera, attend a special event, a museum exhibit, a car show?  Research it and buy the tickets to go.  Don’t delay and have fun finding others who might share this with you.   invite someone to come along with you.  Do something new!

11. Adopt a pet!  Through a Secret Santa gift exchange I received a fish!  Yes, you read that right.  The gift exchange rules stated it had to be purple and under $10 and I received a Thai Beta fish!  I named him Ramses and fell in love!  Who knew how much joy that little fish would give me. When I had to travel he also brought loads of fun and joy to my friend’s office and her colleagues.  Animals easily open our hearts.  If you can’t adopt, go walk a neighbor’s dog or cat sit for a friend.

12. Shake your body. Dance. Jump up and down.  This is sooo good for shaking out a bad mood, stress, worry, or anxiety.  Literally shake it out.  Put on some fast music with upbeat rhythms and shake your body.  Need some inspiration on this. . go to and explore Qoya. Try a Zumba class, jump on a trampoline or do 50 jumping jacks to Michael Jackson’s ‘Beat It!’

13. Watch a movie and be transported to a different life!  Feeling sad?  Nothing like a good cry to feel completely refreshed.  Go rent that drama or tragedy and let the tears roll.  Just bring the tissues along!

14. Go outside.  Just get yourself outside.  Go for a walk.  Thirty minutes of walking with no particular agenda can work wonders on your mood, your creativity, and your ability to be productive when you feel overwhelmed.  It literally gets your energy moving. Turn off the phone and just wander and be curious. You will be so much more loveable!

15.  Practice graciously receiving.  Are you one of those people that always says, ‘Oh, no thank you.’?  Instead, say ‘YES! Thank you!  I’d love to!’  Then practice letting others help you and give to you. That provides you the opportunity to graciously receive.  Believe it or not, we can get so habitual about saying no, this can be more challenging than it may be seem at first.  So the next time someone asks you, ‘Would you like. . .? Say, Yes! Thank you! I’d love that!

16. Appreciation.  Nothing helps the abundance in your life grow more than really appreciating the cornucopia of what you already have.  So look around and make a list of 108 things that you are appreciative of in your life and all the generousness that already exists.  This is a real heart-opener.  Often we are focused on looking for the next thing, rather than the what is already present in your life.  So go ahead slow down, look with wonder at all that you have created and really appreciate the creativity and genius of it and of you.

17. Ask. Ask others to help you.  Ask for what you truly want.  Be authentic.  Don’t wait.  The time is now.  Share yourself.

18. Move towards fun.  Take a baby step towards something you’ve always wanted to do or experience.  Have you wanted to learn how to sing, but keep putting it off?  Have you dreamed of trekking across New Zealand?  Do you want to become a dance instructor?  Do you want to perfect your culinary skills?  What new creative outlet do you want to try?  Be willing to be a beginner and find the pleasure in moving towards trying it out.  You don’t have to be perfect. . . let that dream begin to take shape and start playing with it.  Take a class, or a few private lessons, or gather a group who want to do the same. Play!

19. Align with GOD.  Explore your direct connection with God, the Universe, and Spirit.  How do you access this in your own life?  Consciously begin creating this in a way that’s true for you.  More than ever, accessing your own divine nature is available in a direct way and can be cultivated and expanded.  Open to what would support you and your own spiritual nature.  If you don’t know, be willing to explore.  Read, take a class, visit a sacred place, or join a group exploring this. Be willing to open to the mystery of you and life around you.

20. Experience a spiritual teacher, coach, or healer to help you access and open to your own heart, self acceptance and healing in your life from the past or old beliefs that hold you back from fulfilling your hearts greatest callings.  There is more support than ever before so lean in.  We don’t grow by being alone. We grow in bearing witness to who we really are with others. Reach out. Lean in. Share your journey.

21. Be you!  Yes, give yourself permission to really be YOU!  Following your own likes and dislikes, enjoying what you enjoy, growing in the ways you truly want to grow, stretching to be all of who you are. Now.  Don’t hold back anymore. Go for it.   Laugh and love and share and grow and appreciate all along the way . . . . when you feel happy and open your heart, you naturally give others permission to join you and find their own happiness.  It naturally expands.  It’s truly magical!

Happy Winter Solstice!

December 21st, 2010 by sco assistant | No Comments

Let’s celebrate the shortest day of the year!  Why? Because it means that starting tomorrow the sunlight lasts just a few minutes longer and that feels good to the body and the soul! This time of year also marks the beginning of renewal and expansion.  As the sun lingers longer in the sky so does our desire to create, imagine, and grow.

Right now growth is happening in the dark.

All the change and clearing and shifting is taking place in the dark.  I don’t just mean literally in the dark but in the deepest places within you.  It may sometimes feel like you ‘can’t see it yet’.  Yet the seeds are being planting down inside the ground.  The magic unfolds when we don’t ‘see’ it coming.  What is coming to fruition starts in the dark until its ready to emerge.

I know that you are finding your way – quietly, gently and lovingly – like never before!  It’s truly amazing.  As you grow and expand, so too, does the Universe, your loved ones, and everyone you encounter.  Trust me, when you shine your light, even from your sofa, it ripples out into the Universe sending a distinct message of love!

I am thrilled to be unveiling many new ways to support you and your journey, emerging as the shining, shimmering creator that you are, in 2011!

Ready focus on your dreams in a more personalized way in a Santa Fe adobe?

After all, not everyone finds being in a group comfortable, so what about a one-day retreat designed specifically for a giant leap? Your giant leap!

What’s that big dream, big goal, big creative project, big move, big growth spurt you want to create in your life?  Let’s focus on it like never before.

In 2011, I am offering one-day personalized retreats in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  So not only will you have a life-changing day – your giant leap – it will take place in one of the most beautiful places in the country!

If this makes you sit up taller, email me and let’s find out if this should be you!

Thank you so much for allowing me to support you and your journey.  Thank you for the opportunity to reflect on the shifting between light and dark in our days and nights and in our bodies and our souls.

I invite you to open to what is here for you at this place, at this time without trying to rush into spring, or push yourself into thinking “you should be. . .”.

Rather, slow down, retire early, get deeper, longer sleep, eat warm soups that nourish, enjoy the company of others and spirit of the season.

Happy Winter Solstice to you and your loved ones.

The Art and Science of Gift Wrapping

December 16th, 2010 by sco assistant | 1 Comment

Each of us has natural gifts and talents that get activated in a more distinct way around the holidays.  Quickly, we slip into the roles that are most comfortable and, if we let it, these roles can be a real pleasure and a means of expressing who we are and how we feel connected to our community, family, and loved ones.

I’m here to encourage you to consider where your natural expression comes through at the holidays . . . are you a baker, builder, cook, gift wrapper, cleaner, playmate (someone has to keep the kids busy!), or, maybe you love to play Santa Claus? Do you enjoy giving out generous tips, paying it forward, buying gifts for children and giving lots away – how fun to just be a constant source of surprise and joy!

How do you create your own joy for the season? READ MORE
